Junior Team Tennis
At the invitation of the USTA, a team of MyServe players headed to the courts to participate in an 8U and 10U friendly competition at Team Tennis Play Day. The event was held at the Upper Main Line YMCA in Pennsylvania and featured 60’ courts for the 10Us and 36’ for our younger players.
The players had pre-match warm-ups and games, followed by spirited play in both singles and doubles. A modified scoring system was used to enhance rotation of play and to make the experience fun and successful for all.
Junior Team Tennis is a rapidly growing forum with the goal: improve players’ physical and emotional development in a non-threatening, competitive atmosphere while building camaraderie, team spirit and improving self -esteem. Kids had a great time meeting and playing like-minded players and forging new relationships.
Along with the USTA/Middle States, MyServe will proudly be introducing Team Tennis this fall at the Wilmington Charter School.
